Kupwara Bypolls: Former Minister Chowdary Mohammad Ramzan Files Nomination

NC Leader Receives Warm Welcome, Expresses Confidence in Victory

**Kupwara, October 27:** Former Minister and National Conference (NC) party candidate Chowdary Mohammad Ramzan filed his nomination for the upcoming Kupwara bypolls on Thursday.

Upon arrival at the Deputy Commissioner's office, Ramzan was greeted by a large number of supporters and party workers, who accompanied him to the nomination filing venue.

Confident of Victory

Speaking to reporters after filing his nomination, Ramzan expressed confidence in his victory.

"I am confident that the people of Kupwara will support me and the National Conference in this election. We have a strong track record of development and public service in this constituency," Ramzan said.

The Kupwara bypolls will be held on November 30 to fill the vacancy created due to the resignation of former PDP MLA Abdul Haq Khan, who joined the BJP in July this year.

Ramzan is considered a strong contender in the bypolls, given his popularity and support base in the constituency. He was a minister in the previous PDP-BJP coalition government and has held various positions in the National Conference, including that of party vice-president.

The NC is hoping to regain the Kupwara seat, which it lost to the PDP in the 2014 assembly elections.
