Florida Football Makes Key Offensive Line Shakeup

Gators Shuffle Lineup for Miami Showdown

Ethan White Named New Starting Center

In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Florida Gators' football program, head coach Billy Napier has announced significant changes to the offensive line ahead of their highly anticipated matchup against the Miami Hurricanes this weekend.

The most notable shift is the insertion of Ethan White as the new starting center. White, a former walk-on, has impressed coaches with his work ethic, physicality, and leadership abilities. He will replace Kingsley Eguakun at the pivotal position.

Other notable changes include:

  • Michael Tarquin moving from left guard to left tackle.
  • O'Cyrus Torrence remaining at left guard.
  • Joshua Braun switching from right guard to right tackle.
  • Richie Leonard Jr. replacing Braun at right guard.

Napier expressed confidence in the new lineup, stating, "We have a lot of faith in this group of players, and we believe they can provide the stability and physicality we need to succeed against a tough Miami defense."

The Gators will face their toughest test of the season when they travel to Miami on Saturday. The Hurricanes boast an experienced and talented defensive line, led by tackles Darrell Jackson and Leonard Taylor. Florida's revamped offensive line will need to be at their best to protect quarterback Anthony Richardson and pave the way for running backs Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne.
