The Wolves had been on Jaden McDaniels, a former McDonalds All-American and coveted recruit who had an underwhelming freshman.

McDaniels, who is 6-9 and 200 pounds, was considered a possible number one pick heading into the college season. But he struggled to find his footing at Washington, averaging just 5.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 38.6% from the field.

McDaniels did show flashes of his potential, however, and he was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. He also had a strong performance in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in three games.

The Wolves are hoping that McDaniels can take the next step in his development with the team. He has the potential to be a versatile defender and a solid scorer, and he could be a valuable asset for the team in the future.
